Riviera Hotel South Beach

I had a really great stay at this hotel. The location was amazing and made everything so convenient. The service was also excellent — everyone was welcoming and helpful, and I especially want to mention Ailibe, who went above and beyond and made the experience even better with their kindness and professionalism. Check-in was smooth with no issues at all, which made arriving after travel really easy. On my last day, the hotel was also kind enough to hold my luggage for me, which I really appreciated and made my departure much more convenient. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the shower design was a bit unusual. You had to push the door inward to get in, rather than pull it outward, which made it a little awkward and kept getting my hair wet when I was trying to enter. Aside from that small inconvenience, everything else about the hotel was fantastic. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and I would definitely recommend this hotel to others!

Pros: • rooftop patio — this part made the hotel stay 80% better for me. Without the rooftop, I think I may have rated it 2 stars. • you can easily request daily cleaning service/although my room did not have a doorknob sign so I had to request verbally which was sometimes awkward. • Very close to the beach. • happy hour at bar next door, which means one free drink between 5-6PM, pro if you enjoy cheap, free alcohol.

The Riviera Hotel is very cozy and in an excellent location, close to cafés, restaurants, gelato shops, and just a short walk from the beach. One thing I really loved is that the hotel partners with the restaurant next door, so guests get a complimentary drink during happy hour every day such a nice touch! Our room was clean and well maintained, and it always felt great coming back from the beach to a freshly cleaned space. The front desk staff was very friendly and always willing to help and answer questions. The room included a mini fridge and a modern TV, which was perfect since we spent most of the day outside and enjoyed relaxing in the room at night. The bed was very comfortable, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and the shower was warm and relaxing. The hotel also provides beach towels for guests, which was wonderful. There are two small pools not very deep , but perfect for relaxing, reading a book, or enjoying a quiet moment if you don’t feel like going to the beach. The only thing I really missed was having a microwave in the room. It would also be amazing if the hotel offered beach umbrella rentals. We ended up buying one at the CVS on the corner (which is very convenient and has everything you need), but we only used it for two days and couldn’t bring it back home. Offering simple umbrella rentals could be a great addition for guests. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and truly enjoyed the experience!

Booked this last-minute and it was perfect! Great location and the staff was really helpful and friendly. Shout out to Nelson at the front desk for helping me with all the little things and for being a warm welcome every day. The room was decent, a little humid, but comfortable and in good condition. The hotel is so close to everything, the beach, food, bikes, bus, etc. It served as a great home-base to explore. Solid food at the restaurant, and again great staff. I’d definitely stay here again.

I’m trying to be more diligent about leaving positive reviews for places that I enjoy, starting with The Riviera Hotel! This hotel was super affordable, clean, and the staff were so friendly. Conveniently located right near the convention center where I needed to be for work, this will definitely be a repeat visit. I’ll leave a separate review for the attached restaurant which is 5-stars all around. Shout out to Suza and the staff who took great care of me, including when I had a tech issue with the door to my room.

There were challenges with my trip and my reservation, and the Riviera Hotel staff handled everything beautifully. They were gracious and understanding with my situation, and were so very accommodating. I made the unfortunate mistake of booking through an independent third-party initially that offered no help with my issues. Connecting with Rafaela, The reservations manager, made all the difference in the world. I went from being extremely discouraged, to very pleased and excited about this trip. I highly recommend Riviera Hotel for their outstanding customer service.

The location is absolutely perfect, just steps away from the beach and close to everything we needed. It made getting around so easy and convenient. The property itself is beautiful, well-maintained, and has such a relaxing vibe. A special shoutout to Nelson, he is incredibly sweet, welcoming, and helpful. He went above and beyond to assist us with getting our room early, which we truly appreciated after traveling. Overall, a fantastic experience. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Great location in Miami Beach, very convenient for getting around and enjoying the area. The room was very spacious, which we really appreciated. The decor and furniture were somewhat basic and could definitely be improved. Another downside was that housekeeping wasn’t done every day during our stay. A special thank you to Nelson and Suza for their warm welcome and hospitality.
